Welcome to Lafargue, set in the heart of southern France. It is here that you'll find La Petite Grange, our beautifully renovated barn, offering you self-catering holiday accommodation and Bed and Breakfast. Our 12 x 6 metre pool is set away from the gite, so that people can make as much noise splashing as they wish, whilst others sit and read on their terrace in peace. It caters for holidays all year round with full central heating and a wood burning stove for the cooler months, and thick stone walls and shutters for the hotter ones!
Lafargue is located equidistant from the small bustling towns of Montcuq and Castelnau-Montratier, both being a 10-minute drive away. Cahors, the capital of the Lot, is only 20 minutes by car and the impressive hill top town of Lauzerte is just down the road. Toulouse, at a little over an hour away, is our nearest airport and is a great city to spend a day wandering around. Bordeaux and Carcassonne are within 2½ hours of us – both have international airports, and are well worth a visit in their own right. Bergerac and Rodez airports also serve this area with low-cost carriers.
This area is known by various names - The Lot region, the Lot Valley, The Midi-Pyrénées and The Quercy Blanc. The Lot River flows through the area, which is full of beautiful old white stone buildings, walnut groves, vineyards and sunflowers. The Lot borders six departments, all of which offer many more wonderful places to visit and explore, the closest one being but a few miles away – the Tarn-et-Garonne.
